My divorce contemplation journey
For over five years, I experienced a constant back-and-forth in my commitment to my marriage, swinging between a desire to stay and a growing inclination to seek a divorce. The emotional turmoil left me utterly drained, making it impossible for either choice to feel right. This ongoing struggle took a toll on my well-being, as I found it increasingly challenging to prioritize self-care.

Though I was grateful for the love and care of friends and family, their opinions on whether I should stay or leave only added to my confusion. I knew there were lessons I needed to learn about my marriage and myself within the context of our relationship.
​
One of the most challenging aspects of this journey was realizing that no one else could make this decision for me. The choice was mine alone to make. I vividly recall a day spent in my craft room, sobbing uncontrollably, repeating to a power greater than myself, "I don't want to go through this! I don't want to go through this!"
Amidst this deep uncertainty, I found solace in rediscovering myself. Through painting, meditation, yoga, and soul-searching hikes, I navigated the emotional storm and sleepless nights. I sought peace in the quiet of a Buddhist temple and the warmth of friendships shared over dinner.

Living Bravely Life Coaching
My business name came to me while reading "Untamed" by Glennon Doyle as I was on my own divorce contemplation journey.
My logo was created with the help of a dear friend. It is a hybrid of a phoenix rising from the ashes and the tree of life. It is the symbolic call for Living Bravely. From the ashes, we rise and bloom again when properly nourished.

I couldn't contain my smile
On the day of my final divorce hearing, as the five-minute zoom session came to the end, the largest smile ever took over my face. I don't remember the last time I had a smile that big on my face. I couldn't stop smiling!! I was genuinely happy and couldn't believe the day had finally arrived. Our body language doesn't lie about our inner thoughts and feelings. Each time I share I couldn't contain my smile, everyone says I light up with joy telling the story.
